For a long time, the Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre has given long-term and profound support to the development of the film industry. Adhering to the passion for light and shadow art, Jaeger-LeCoultre has collaborated with many prestigious international film festivals and created the Jaeger-LeCoultre Director Honor Award at the Venice International Film Festival in order to pay tribute to creative filmmakers.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has long supported screen workers who have made outstanding contributions to global film art. On this occasion, Jaeger-LeCoultre will present French actress Catherine Deneuve with an award during the 74th Venice International Film Festival in recognition of her immortal achievements and brilliant film career. On September 5, 2017, the awards ceremony will be held at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s annual movie dinner. The famous actress Diane Kruger will present the award as a guest of honor to pay tribute to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s brand friend Catherine • Denaf’s outstanding contribution to the art of cinema. This moment not only witnessed the charm of the two actresses who achieved extraordinary achievements on the screen, but also pushed the atmosphere of the dinner to a climax.

There are very few actresses who can rival Catherine Denaf in film art achievements. In the early 1960s of her acting career, she had already collaborated with many famous film directors, including Louis Bunuel (Luis Buñuel), François Truffaut, Jacques Demy, and Raul Ruiz. Since then, she is still willing to work with creative pioneer directors to continuously pursue self-breakthrough in the performing arts.
To this end, Jaeger-LeCoultre pays special tribute to the legendary female Catherine Deneuve, in recognition of her constant image of classic movies.
